The transition from 1 to 3 is not for the weak 😴 it’s been really hard in some ways but it’s also been filled with more love than I could’ve imagined.

We’re navigating meeting the needs of two tiny babies while also trying to give our toddler the attention he needs too. Some days we do this better than others!

Even through the hard moments (when both babies are crying, our toddler is singing at the top of his lungs, and our two dogs are wrestling #overstimulated 😵‍💫) I’m reminded that this is just a season, and a very short one at that.

This summer is one that we’ll always remember! I know we’ll look back on these days and wish we could have them back 🤍

week 34/52 • we had L’s meet the teacher this week 34/52

• we had L’s meet the teacher this week! He is starting at a new school that’s closer to our house. He will go on Tuesdays and Thursdays for half the day just like last year. He loved school last year, so we are hoping he adjusts well to his new school! We left the twins at home with their grandpa during meet the teacher so we could take L a special treat afterward and spend some one-on-one time with him ☺️
• we had our first date night since the twins were born! We were fortunate to have family in town again this week to help so we snuck out after dinner to grab dessert at a restaurant down the road. It was such a pleasant surprise to be able to have an hour away! 🍰
• L got to go to @mcwanescience again this week! He loved pushing sister in her stroller 🥹
• we had some feeding challenges this week with one of the twins struggling with latch despite doing well prior. Some days it felt like I was feeding a baby 24/7 😵‍💫 but it won’t be like this forever.
• Thursday was the first day of school for L! We were a little worried there would be a lot of tears but he had a blast 🙌
• we took a few trips to the park this week! It’s a quick and *relatively* easy way to get out of the house. It still takes a long time to load up the car and leave 😂 but we’re getting better!
• the twins had their two week appointment with the pediatrician this week! They had to do another newborn screening which means another heel prick 😩 an appointment for twins can take awhile, so we ran through quite a few diapers while we were there 😬 but both babies are gaining weight and doing great!

What was the highlight of your week? ⬇️
