Cold & flu season is here! 🤧 if you’re like us and Cold & flu season is here! 🤧 if you’re like us and you’ve been running your humidifier nonstop, this is your reminder that it’s probably time to clean it!

When I made the baby registry for our twins this summer, I made sure to put a @get.canopy humidifier on it! We used a different humidifier for our toddler and I *hated* cleaning it. It was such a pain and then it took an eternity to dry out.

We used a humidifier often in the winter not only for his congestion but for dry skin too! That means we are constantly running it and cleaning it 😩 I dreaded the cleaning process, and I knew there had to be a better option out there. I heard good things about Canopy humidifiers, so I decided to give one a try. We love it so much that we just got a second one! Now we can have one running in our toddler’s room and the twins’ room 🙌

The best part about the Canopy humidifiers is that they’re dishwasher safe! It makes cleaning them a breeze during the winter months!

Want to get 15% off at @get.canopy ?! Comment want and I’ll dm you a link that auto applies the discount!

5 things I’m proud that I accomplished in 2025 • 5 things I’m proud that I accomplished in 2025

• I potty trained my 20 month old by myself
Alex was gone for work and we needed to potty train our toddler before the twins were born but after he was out of school for the summer. This was probably my least favorite part of parenthood so far, but I did it!

• I continued to take care of my mental health
I still saw my therapist regularly this year. Postpartum is a challenging time, so it’s been important to me to talk to someone about how I’m feeling, especially with all changes we experienced this year.

• I learned to ask for help
This one is still a work in progress! As a former teacher, it’s ingrained in me to do it all myself. It is SO hard for me to ask for help. I’m learning to accept that this stage of life takes a village, and that’s okay.

• I prioritized one-on-one time with my toddler to help him adjust to becoming a big brother x2
This is one of my favorite things to come out of 2025. It’s something he looks forward to and asks about often!

• I let go of the small stuff when it comes to parenting
Sometimes you have to pick your battles 🤷🏼‍♀️ does it really matter if my toddler has mostly snacks for breakfast? Nope - at least he’s eating! I’m also wayyyy less stressed about our twins meeting milestones bc I’ve learned that every baby is different!

Cheers to even more growth in 2026! Happy New Year! 🎈

One of the best things I did after our twins were One of the best things I did after our twins were born was dedicate time to spend one-on-one with our toddler.

For us, this looked like weekly muffin dates but morphed into finding small moments where I can connect with him. As the twins’ needs changed, so did my availability for our toddler. Whether it’s a few minutes cuddled together reading a book or talking over a snack, or a full on outing to the park, I try to find time where he can have my undivided attention.

Our special time together has become one of my favorite traditions of 2025 ☺️

While everyone is sharing their highlight reels fr While everyone is sharing their highlight reels from this year, here are some struggles I’ve had as a new mom of 3. Remember, social media is a lot of shiny moments, but everyone struggles with something.

I worry that my bond with my twins won’t be as strong as it is with my toddler. I just can’t give them as much attention as he had when he was a baby and it breaks my heart.

Many days I run out of patience and I feel so guilty about it. There are 7 heartbeats in our house, so there’s a lot going on. Sometimes a whiny toddler, a crying baby, or a loud dog sends me over the edge.

I always feel like I’m shortchanging someone. Our twins are almost 5 months old and take up a lot of my time. Our two year old needs a lot of attention too, so it often seems like one of the three needs something that I’m not available to give.

Our house is constantly messy and most days I dress like Adam Sandler. One day we’ll have a clean house and I’ll look more put together, but today is not that day! I’d rather spend my limited free time with my toddler or decompressing by myself if all of our kids are sleeping.

I’m having such a hard time finding time for things I enjoy. Spare time is incredibly limited lately, and when I have time I just want to zone out!

Alex deploys next year and I’m really nervous about how I’ll handle that with all the kids. This will be his first deployment since we’ve had children. It will be hard to be apart in totally new ways.

Although the days can feel so chaotic, I am so grateful to get to love these babies. I truly believe that we are not given more than we can handle. I’m so excited to see what this next year has in store for us 🤍

What’s something you’re struggling with lately?

1️⃣Photo a Day Advent Calendar Each day we take a 1️⃣Photo a Day Advent Calendar
Each day we take a photo of something to remember this season of life and add it to our advent calendar. At the end of the Christmas season, I collect the photos and to turn them into an ornament to put on our tree for next year! Our 2yo already likes to look at the pictures from precious Christmas seasons

🚨 How to make it low stress
Instead of using the Instax mini camera, we use the Instax printer to print photos taken from my phone! We can include any pics we want and not have to worry about wasting film/remembering the camera. If I completely forget to take any pictures that day, I’ll sub one in from another day - the point is to document memories from this season of life, not to get it perfect!

2️⃣Picture Book Christmas Countdown
Every night we open a Christmas book before bed. This was the first year we did it and my toddler really enjoyed it! He’s still asking when we will open his next Christmas book

🚨 How to make it low stress
We will reuse the same books every year! I’ll pack them all away in the same box, so they’re easy to find next year. I wrapped them in brown kraft paper this year and numbered them. If I’m feeling super motivated when I pack up the rest of the Christmas decorations, I’ll wrap these and number them before I pack them again.

3️⃣Advent Calendar activity/treat
Each afternoon we pull a slip a paper from our advent calendar that has a simple activity or a treat!

🚨 How to make it low stress
Sooo many of the activities were things we would do during this time of year anyway, like decorate the tree, watch a Christmas movie, go look at Christmas lights, have a dance party to Christmas music, etc. I grabbed a few little things like Christmas Chex mix, mini play dough, Christmas stickers, etc and used those as ‘treats’ for some days too! Also, depending on the day I moved activities/treats around based on my motivation level

4️⃣Christmas cookies
I want to be the person that makes a bunch of different Christmas cookies and pass them out to our friends & neighbors but we keep it simple with chocolate chips/m&ms! Continued ⬇️
