February Classroom Activities Round Up
The month of February can feel incredibly long, but it’s a busy one! We are all counting down until spring break. Your students may be stir crazy if you’ve had bad weather. There’s also a lot of content to cover during February. Try out some of these fun February activities for your classroom!
Groundhog Day Predictions for February

Celebrate Black History Month in February
This interactive wall display from Adrienne is always a hit! It includes notable figures in Black history and gives a short biography on each one. This is a great feature for your school hallway! You could also expand upon this and ask students to research one of the figures.

After discussing influential Black figures with your students, you can ask them to reflect on what they’ve learned by completing this craft! It includes a variety of prompts to encourage students to think about what they can do to continue that legacy today.
Valentine’s Day Activities for February
Make candy hearts with your students! These candy hearts can be used for students to write a nice note to another student or you can use them to create similes, as seen in the photo above. Want more ways for students to express their love? Keep scrolling!
Choose from some Valentine’s Day puns and students can write to someone that they love! These include large scale letters if you’d like to display them on a bulletin board. Students could also choose someone that is the ‘light of their life’ for Valentine’s Day.
Presidents’ Day Activities for February
Turn your students into presidents with this fun craft! Students can become George Washington with the white wig, Abraham Lincoln with the black hat, or a modern-day president in a suit. They can then write about what they would do if they were the president.
